Here are the answers to a few of the more frequently asked questions about to the new site.

What is the difference between ‘Everyone’s messages’, ‘Friends’ messages’, ‘Replies to you’?

Everyone’s messages: This displays all the public messages that are sent, it also shows when someone logs onto the site.

Friends’ messages: This displays the public messages that are sent to and by the members that you are following.

Replies to you: This displays the public and private messages that are sent directly to you

How do I message someone?

If you want to reply to someone, click on the ‘reply’ button on the message that they sent. This will populate the ‘To:’ field. Type your message in the box that says ‘Write your message here…’ and then click on the ‘Post Message!’ button to send your message.

If you know the nickname of the member you want to send a message to, fill the nickname into the ‘To:’ field . Type your message in the box that says ‘Write your message here…’ and then click on the ‘Post Message!’ button to send your message.

If you want to send a message to someone you are following, find their image on your ‘following’ list. Click on the image, this will take you to their profile page.  To the right of their profile picture there is a link to send a message to them, click on this link and you will be able to send them a message.

How do I message everyone following me?

Fill in the ‘To:’ field with ‘Everyone’ and this will send the message to everyone that is following you.

What is the difference between a public and private message?

A public message will be visible in the ‘Everyone’s messages’, it will also be in the ‘Friends’ messages’ of any member that is following the sender or receiver of the message, and will be in the ‘Replies to you’ tab of the member that the message was sent to.

A private message will only be visible to the person that the message was sent to.

How do I send a private message?

When you are sending a message there is a ‘Send a private message’ tick box to the right of the ‘Post Message!’ button. Make sure that this tick box has been selected before you send your message.

What does ‘following’ someone mean?

When you follow someone, you will be able to see all public messages sent to and by them in your ‘Friends’ messages’ tab. Their image will also be in your ‘Following’ list.

How do I follow someone?

Go to their profile page, to the right of their profile picture there is a ‘Follow!’ button, click on that.

How do I stop following someone?

Go to their profile page, to the right of their profile picture there is an ‘Unfollow!’ button, click on that.
